“Microdosing is a way of integrating the benefits of psychedelics into daily life without the disruption of a full psychedelic experience.”
-Dr. James Fadiman
The psilocybin mushroom is something that most people have heard of throughout their lives. What used to be most commonly used as a fun otherworldly experience has started to shift into a new way of being worked with. I worked for a psilocybin church for the past 4 years where I had the opportunity to facilitate countless ceremonies. Throughout that time I came to see that there are three types of people in this world when it comes to psilocybin mushrooms: those who do them for fun, those who work with them intentionally for healing and transformation, and those who don’t dare to touch them at all.
Most people think of psychedelics as something extreme; deep journeys, intense visuals, total ego dissolution. But there’s another side to the medicine that has emerged, a side that allows people of all kinds to work with it. It’s a quieter side. One that doesn’t pull you out of life, but helps you step more fully into it.
This is the subtle, yet powerful, world of microdosing; the intentional, low-dose use of psychedelics used to support healing, cultivate clarity, and allow individuals to reconnect with themselves.
Microdosing is known as the use of very small, subperceptual amounts of a psychedelic. In this case we'll be exploring psilocybin mushrooms. The dose is typically around 1/10th to 1/20th of a full immersive dose. At this level, you won’t “trip,” lose control, or see visuals. Instead, you’re able to connect deeper and stay fully present in your day-to-day life while gently opening up space for clarity, emotional awareness, and inner connection.
Unlike traditional approaches to mental health that often focus on symptom management, microdosing creates a subtle shift that works from the inside out.
Microdosing helps to quiet the noise of the mind while amplifying your connection to your body, your truth, and the present moment. It opens up the opportunity for you to be more aware and involved in life. Rather than numbing and rejecting what doesn’t feel good, this practice lets you observe and embody to create real, long lasting change.
When done properly, microdosing can support a wide range of benefits:
One of the most powerful aspects of microdosing, the one that I love more than anything, is how it supports neuroplasticity, the brain’s natural ability to change, adapt, and form new connections. This means microdosing doesn’t just help you feel better temporarily, it can help you reprogram your mind at the root level. This type of impact changes everything when it comes to transformational healing.
Our minds run on programs that are engrained within our Default Mode Network. Which, in short, is essentially what we have naturally created as our ways of being due to protection and repetition throughout life. A simple way of looking at this is through the lens of creating a new habit. What improved neuroplasticity creates is the ability to replace old habits with new ones with much more ease and at a faster speed than normal. This is commonly referred to as reprogramming.
The thoughts you think every day determine your programming and ultimately assist in creating your reality. Many of us are running unconscious patterns that are programmed in by fear, trauma, and survival-based conditioning. Microdosing creates a gentle opening in the mind, making it easier to become aware of those limiting thought loops and begin shifting them into something more supportive of the life you want to live.
But it’s important to know that microdosing isn’t just about taking a magic pill and hoping for these results, it’s about working with it intentionally, pairing it with practices that support healing, growth, and integration.
It’s a tool, not the whole solution, but a powerful ally that, when used correctly, can help you reconnect with the version of yourself that feels clear, capable, and deeply grounded in your life. Microdosing is an incredible guide into yourself to lead you to see how you can show up better in your life, but it’s up to you to put in the work to actually change. It’s like the saying, you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink. The mushroom will help you see what you need to, but it’s only up to you to do what is needed to work with it and shift.
The Real Benefits of Microdosing
(That You Don’t Often Hear About)
There’s a lot of hype out there around microdosing, people talking about increased creativity, better productivity, or sharper focus. And while those benefits can absolutely happen, the deeper power of microdosing lies beneath the surface.
When used intentionally and in a supported container, microdosing can help you:
With the world the way it is so many of us have dysregulated nervous systems without even knowing it. If you've felt stuck in a constant state of stress, overwhelm, or tension, like your body is always bracing for something, microdosing can help calm the nervous system and invite a deeper sense of safety and ease. It’s not about numbing yourself, but about finally feeling grounded and safe in your body again.
Instead of trying to reject the pain, get rid of it, or just trying to “cope,” like most healing modalities promote these days, microdosing supports you in getting to the root cause. This gently helps loosen the grip of the thought loops and emotional heaviness that often accompany anxiety and depression, making space for healing to actually take place.
Very few of us have actually been taught how to navigate our emotions without becoming overwhelmed. In fact, most of us have been taught to suppress what we feel. Microdosing opens the door to subtle, and gentle, emotional awareness, helping you notice your internal world without judgment. It becomes easier to meet your emotions with curiosity instead of fear, allowing you to create a whole new relationship with them. One where you can embrace what you feel, rather than running from it due to it feeling too overwhelming.
When you're stuck in survival mode, every trigger feels urgent, like it is potentially life or death. Microdosing helps widen the gap between stimulus and response, allowing you to pause, breathe, and respond from clarity rather than reactivity.
Over time, many people lose touch with their own intuition, the inner knowing that says this is right for me or this isn’t. Microdosing has the ability to strengthen that connection, helping you feel more aligned with yourself and confident in the choices you make.
If your mind has been stuck in loops of I’m not good enough, I can’t do this, or nothing will change, microdosing can help you observe those stories, see through them, and begin to release them. It doesn’t overwrite your truth, it helps you uncover the one that’s already there, waiting to be lived. From this place you are able to choose which narrative is aligned with who you truly are.
Though we see that this incredible tool has so much to offer, microdosing shouldn’t be mistaken as a magic fix as it’s not meant to carry the whole weight of your transformation. The real power comes when it’s paired with intentional practices that help you integrate what’s rising to the surface to cultivate the desired outcome.
Simple, consistent practices like:
These practices create the container for transformation. Microdosing opens the door, but it’s your willingness to show up and meet yourself that leads to lasting change.
And that’s what this is really about, coming back to yourself.
Not fixing. Not escaping. But remembering who you are beneath the noise, beneath the conditioning that has been pressed upon you throughout life. It opens up the opportunity to let go of old patterns, to meet your truth with compassion, and create space to live a life that aligns with who you truly are.
With all of the research and studies being published it’s no wonder that more and more people are waking up to the potential of this beautiful tool. I’ve worked with mothers, fathers, high-end professionals, doctors, and therapists, all drawn to microdosing as a way to shift out of survival mode and into who they truly want to be. This isn’t just for one kind of person, it’s for anyone ready to grow, heal, and live with intention. It’s for those who are ready to finally shift into a better way of being.
Microdosing isn’t the whole path, but when it’s approached with care and intention, it can be a powerful part of it. It softens the edges, opens the heart, and makes it easier to meet the parts of you that are ready to heal.
And if that’s where you’re at, where you are ready to go deeper, to move from surviving to actually living, you’re not alone.
As the popularity of microdosing comes more into the mainstream view due to its undeniable benefits, I saw a call to help individuals master this unique practice. From this observation RISE was born. RISE is a guided 45-day microdosing journey, leading you into all that you need to know to easily learn about the ins and outs of microdosing. This means that you get everything, like the down low on protocols and how they help create structure and increase the benefits desired, how psilocybin naturally works in the body, and especially those potent intentional practices that go along with it all to make sure you get the most out of your microdosing exploration.

The Deep Dive.
To observe all that exists is to witness the greatness of Spirit. There is no separation between one thing and another, only the illusion of it when the eyes are clouded. Within the written articles of this blog rests a single perspective of what could be. As we will never know the absolute truths that exist, these writings express what has been understood on my path towards God. And no I don't mean a man in the clouds. Unless that's your thing.
To bring change to the world we must first bring change to ourselves. Together we can create something beautiful.
